We have some exciting material coming around the bend here in the near, near future. We’re still attempting to iron out some of the things we would like to do on a regular basis, so in the meantime we are going to be experimenting a little bit.
One of the items the three of us wanted to toy with was a roundtable discussion between Lodish, Bohanon and myself. You can expect our first roundtable to be posted sometime this evening. The focus will be the Nuggets through the first full month of the NBA season. Also coming before Friday, Lodish will publish a preview of the Broncos-Chiefs matchup this weekend and Bohanon will write his must-read on the top five Denver sporting events that he’s attended.
I hope you are enjoying the content so far because I know we are thrilled to finally be doing what we’ve wanted to do for a long time.
Now, on to less serious and more humorous matters. Did Chauncey Billups, Carmelo Anthony, and Co. cost Sam Mitchell his job? Not entirely, but it couldn’t have helped his job security when the boys went out and made his Raptors look like an intramural C team. Also on the firing line today was Auburn coach Tommy Tuberville. Not local, but I had to mention it as this one truly left me dumbfounded. As Lodish told me in a text, I probably shouldn’t have been when you consider the ancillary factors. It is the SEC after all, where one losing season is likely to have a coach checking his back at all times, and those hyper-sensitive boosters just got through watching Tuberville’s squad lose to their rival by 36. But, my goodness. Tuberville won over 80 percent of his games the last four years, got screwed out of a chance at the national title in 2004 after his team went 13-0 and won five out of his last six bowl appearances. Unreal. Nothing ever seems to be enough in the hasty world of college football.
That’s it for me, but check back in later for our Nuggets Roundtable.
